If you’re in the local Vancouver, WA area and are looking for something fun to do with the kiddos this weekend, the city of Vancouver is serving up two events that are sure to be fun for the whole family.
Free Family Fun Day at Marshall Community Center
First up is a FREE family fun day at the Marshall/Loepke Community Center from noon to five on Saturday, May 21st.
In addition to three public swim sessions, this event will have pottery demonstrations, a teen SPOT and game room, sports activities in the gym, and face painting in the Oak and Elm rooms.
The fitness center will be open to ages 13 and up and will feature demonstrations in the afternoon, as well as free body composition testing for those who are interested.
Special discounts on summer programs will also be available for those who want to register in person. For more information you can visit the website or call 360-487-7100; for directions click on the map below.
Dozer Day 2016
Another option for a fun family outing this weekend is Dozer Day 2016, which will be held at the Clark County Fairgrounds on Sat and Sun May 21-22, from 11am to 4pm. If you like the sound of heavy machinery, pipe and tire crawls, and digging for treasures, then this is the event for you! There will also be music, food, giveaways, and (according to the website) ‘Much More!’
All of the rides are free at Dozer Day, with the exception of a couple that are donation based. Admission is $8 for kids and seniors 60+ and $10 for adults if purchased in advance (tickets are $3 more if bought at the event). Kids under two are free either way. Advanced tickets can be purchased at participating Chuck’s Produce and IQ Credit Union locations, or online at dozerday.org.
